Welcome! I’m Brittany Renee, the heart and hands behind Rustic Whisper Designs. What began as a simple holiday crafting hobby in late 2023 quickly blossomed into a passionate woodworking venture. After experimenting with handcrafting gifts for loved ones, I realized my true joy came from the intricate process of working with natural hardwoods.
By January 2024, I officially launched my business with a clear mantra: one thing, one step at a time. Through hands-on experimentation, wooden earrings struck a special chord—they are lightweight, comfortable to wear, and offer endless creative potential.
Today, Rustic Whisper Designs focuses exclusively on handcrafted wooden earrings made from hardwoods responsibly harvested from my own property. Each pair is created with love, care, and a commitment to meaningful design. My most commonly used woods are Red Oak and Sourwood, with White Oak and Maple used for select pieces.
Tools I Use to Craft Your Unique Earrings
To bring each design to life, I use a blend of traditional woodworking techniques and modern digital tools:
Hand & Power Tools: Dremel with attachments, Mini Belt Sander, Chisels, and Miter Saw.
Digital Tools: Cricut Air Explorer 2, Comgrow Z1 5W Laser Engraver, and LASERGRBL software.
Design Software: Canva & Adobe Express.
Materials for Finishing & Flair

Faux Leather: Used for beautiful earring detailing and texture.
Sealant: MinWax Fast-Drying Polyurethane to ensure your earrings are protected.
Hardware: Hypoallergenic metals including Sterling Silver and Stainless Steel for sensitive ears.

All of my products are made from durable, hard natural woods, such as, Red Oak and Sourwood with faux leather and laser engraved designs added for decoration, along with some polyurethane, sterling silver and surgical stainless steel metal and are guaranteed to last a long time if taken proper care of. Don't leave in the sun and it is best to remove wooden jewelry nefore bayhing or swimming. The wood protectant will deteriorate more quickly. IMPORTANT WARNINGS!!: WOOD MAY BE TOXIC IF INGESTED.
